A Legacy of Education in Kahalgaon

It was established in 1969 by some local intellectuals, social workers, and education lovers. The college was established in the sacred memory of the late Shankar Sah, a renowned social worker, and the late Vikramshila, the ancient seat of Buddhist learning.
Initially, the college started in a local high school and later shifted to its own campus of approximately 8 acres, donated by the local people. The college became a constituent unit of the university in 1980. The college is registered with UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(B).
